EC Launches a Public Consultation on the Future Use of the 1980–2010 MHz and 2170–2200 MHz Frequency Bands

Deadline for submitting feedback: 30 June 2025

ZAGREB, 3 June 2025 - The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the future use of the 1980-2010 MHz and 2170-2200 MHz frequency bands for mobile satellite services. The aim of the public consultation is to collect the views of operators on the market needs within this part of the radiofrequency spectrum.

The deadline for submitting feedback is 30 June 2025.

All interested parties are invited to take part in the public consultation, the outcome of which will ultimately serve as a basis for a future decision by the European Commission regarding the use of this section of the radiofrequency spectrum.
