What is “connectivity”?

Connectivity is term used in electronic communications to determine the degree to which different devices, users, applications and systems are interconnected and accessible via the Internet. The access speed, i.e. the amount of data exchanged (xbit/s), is the most common measure of connectivity, which is why the term “gigabit connectivity” is also one of the goals of the Digital Decade
