Number Portability (+ e-Portability)
Providers of publicly available telephone services, including those operating mobile electronic communications networks, are required to enable their subscribers, upon request, to retain their assigned number regardless of a change in operator. This applies for geographic numbers: at a specific location, for non-geographic numbers (i.e. mobile network numbers): at any location.The obligation of operators to enable number portability does not apply in cases where the subscriber changes geographic location, nor does it apply to the transfer of numbers from a fixed electronic communications network to a mobile network, or vice versa.
The subscriber shall submit a number portability request to the recipient operator (the operator to whose network the number is being transferred), using the prescribed form for number portability in a mobile network or for number portability in a fixed network, as applicable.
The recipient operator of the user requesting number portability must provide timely information about the number portability procedure, particularly regarding:

- The loss of services previously used in the donor operator’s network after the number has been ported,
- The scope and activation of services with the recipient operator,
- The procedure for settling any outstanding debts with the donor operator,
- The reasons for potential rejection of the portability request,
- The reasons for any delay in number transfer,
- The time limit after which a user may submit a new portability request,
- The conditions under which number portability is carried out.
