HAKOM publishes 9th Public Tender for the Development of Socially-Useful Applications

HAKOM published the ninth public tender for the development of six new socially-useful applications under the Programme for Internet and Broadband Development in Areas of Special State Concern, Hilly and Mountainous Areas and Islands.
 
ZAGREB, 7 July 2014 – The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) invited a new public tender for the development of six new applications under its own Programme for Internet and Broadband Development in Areas of Special State Concern, Hilly and Mountainous Areas and Islands. Ideas for applications were selected in a public tender taking into account the feasibility criteria, assessment of costs for the realization of individual ideas and direct and indirect benefits for citizens. After the execution of the selected ideas, the applications will be available to all interested citizens.
 
The tender has been published for the development of the following six applications:
 
e-Newborn – the application will connect the hospital’s (maternity ward’s) IT system to the national health care system (CEZIH), the national mandatory health-insurance system (ZOROH) and the Ministry of Defence’s systems, thus ensuring correct and prompt registration of every new-born child.
 
E-services of the Croatian Health Insurance Fund (HZZO) – the application is aimed at reducing everyday administrative burden of health care providers towards the HZZO and increasing time available for providing services to patents and for ensuring the quality of health care services.
 
Cro112 – a mobile application for automatic sending of geolocation data (GPS data) during calls made from a mobile device to emergency services at the 112 number.
 
Volunteers for civil protection – the application will enable the collection of data and training of volunteers for action in case of emergency situations or disasters.
 
Data collection system for protection and rescue resources (ZiS) – an application that enables the collection, equipping, preparing and searching of all civil protection forces, material and technical resources and crucial infrastructure.
 
Croatian Red Cross (HCK) – Mobile technology in the service of humanity – a mobile application aimed at ensuring quick access to data about saving life and preserving health.
