The 9th HAKOM’s round table with stakeholders of the postal services market

The round table discussed the topics of green transition and sustainable business of postal service providers, market trends in the Republic of Croatia and the EU, and the results of research on the satisfaction and needs of postal service users.

ZAGREB, 8 December 2022 – The 9th round table of postal market stakeholders in the Republic of Croatia was held in Zagreb, following the invitation of the organizer the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) on Wednesday, 7 December 2022, The round table was attended by the representatives of authorised postal service providers, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the Faculty of Transport Sciences and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK). Darko Josipović, Deputy Chairman of the HAKOM’S Council, opened the meeting with a welcoming speech.

The round table is always an opportunity to exchange information on the current market. Once again the interesting topics have been exchanged at the meeting and the experts from the postal services sector of HAKOM prepared their introductory presentations. The first two topics dealt with the overview of the situation and trends in the postal services market of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union and the results of the social survey of the satisfaction and needs of users of postal services (natural persons). The third, also the most important topic of the round table, was the topic of green transition and sustainable business of postal service providers, where presentations by representatives of HAKOM and the Faculty of Transport Sciences, the roundtable participants exchanged their experiences in an open discussion on multiple ways in their business of adjusting to the national activities aimed at reducing the carbon footprint and environmental impact during the performance of postal services.
