A million measurements were made by HAKOMmetar Plus
ZAGREB, 22 March 2022 – The users of electronic communications services in mobile networks of Croatian operators carried out one million measurements through the HAKOMetar Plus application, which has been available since April 2017, and the millionth measurement was recorded at the end of last week. Hakometar Plus is a smartphone application that enables measuring the speed of broadband internet access in mobile/wireless networks i.e. the informative measurement of speed and quality of broadband internet connection used and the collection of related information. The purpose of the application is to show transparent and understandable information about the quality of the wireless connection used (WLAN) or mobile network.
When measuring, the Hakometear Plus is connected to a server that is not affected by operators, and the measurement consists of four parts; then the data transfer speed in the incoming direction (download) and the data transfer speed in the outbound direction (upload) by receiving and sending a specific file in communication with the server, and in the end verifies other quality of service parameters, 11, still remaining 11 from VoIP to the various online services access. The measurements are also used to show the quality of coverage in Croatia, and the application can be downloaded free of charge on Google play and Apple Store.
The first 10 measurements of HAKOM plus mobile network during one month are free of charge because the data traffic during these measurements does not enter the consumption of the user's active tariff, unlike other similar applications.
