Call to the local and regional self-government units not previously co-financed by Broadband Infrastructure Development Plans (PRŠI)

Implementation of the National Framework Programme for Development of Broadband Infrastructure continues in the areas where there is insufficient commercial interest in the investment.
 
ZAGREB, 21 September 2021 - Through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, which includes reforms and investments to be implemented by 31 August 2026 at the latest, the Republic of Croatia expected the investments in digital connectivity, thus improving the development of digital infrastructure for the Internet services in mobile and fixed telecommunications networks in remote and rural areas lagging behind in terms of digital inclusion. In other words, “next generation EU” instrument introduced the recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), thus allowing the EU Member States to use grants and loans through their own national recovery and resilience plans, including investments in digital connectivity. Within the framework of the investment “Project implementation within the scope of the Framework National Programme for Broadband infrastructure Development in areas where there is insufficient commercial interest in investments”, grants amounting to HRK 799,999,997 were provided. These funds will enable the co-financing of a number of projects for the development of broadband infrastructure by local and regional government units, which have not been co-financed in the financial perspective 2014-2020, within the scope of the Call for Proposal. (NGN)/Next Generation Networks Construction (NGN) of / Next Generation Access Networks NGA in NGA white areas.
 
HAKOM, as the holder of the Framework National Programme for Broadband Infrastructure Development in the areas where there is insufficient commercial interest in investing (NOP), invites all concerned local and regional government units, where there is an interest in continuing the implementation of the previously prepared Broadband Infrastructure Development Plan (PES), to take the steps necessary to continue their activities.
