PRESS RELEASSE

HAKOM invited the fourth public invitation for the submission of conceptual designs for the development of software applications and services. Their selection and implementation is aimed at the development of broadband access in the Republic of Croatia.

ZAGREB, 7 November 2014 – The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) notifies all interested parties that it has published the fourth round of a public invitation for the submission of conceptual designs for the development of software applications and services for promoting and harmonizing the development of broadband in the Republic of Croatia, in particular in areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on the islands. The objective of the public tender is to gather designs for software applications and services supporting the development of the economy and quality of life in the Republic of Croatia, that is, supporting the development of areas of alert/rescue, safety and humane activities.

Following the three previous rounds, when many conceptual designs have been collected, whose implementation will inevitably lead to an increase in the quality of life in the Republic of Croatia, the purpose of this new invitation is for HAKOM to re-emphasise the importance of content as one of the initiators of broadband access development.

The invitation is open to all interested legal or natural persons – state government bodies, local communities, educational and research institutions, private and public companies, non-profit organisations and the general public. It is worth mentioning that conceptual designs may also be submitted by participants in the previous three public invitations.

The public invitation for the submission of conceptual designs for the development of software applications and services was published at HAKOM’s website at the following link: https://www.hakom.hr/default.aspx?id=115 and it is open until 19 November 2014.
