HŽ Passenger Transport Ltd announced changed 101 Tariff Conditions

The new conditions for rail passenger transport have entered into force having been harmonized with the EU regulations.

ZAGREB, July 1, 2022 - Croatian Passenger Transport Ltd. (HPP) has published new general terms and conditions of the contract on the transport of “passenger ticket in domestic transport (transit conditions, preferences, and transport of hand luggage - Tariff 101” which entered into force on 8 June 2022.

HAKOM has systematically recorded deficiencies, disputed provisions, and non-compliance with Regulation (EC) No 1371/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2007 on the rights and obligations of passengers in railway transport in Tariff 101. After a thorough analysis and through joint meetings with the HŽPP, the amendments, and harmonization of the disputed content were requested.

The most important changes refer to the frequent delays, therefore the passengers who continuously use the service for more than six months, using the subscription ticket, in case of frequent delays, are entitled to repay a portion of the amount of the subscription ticket. Passenger is entitled to traffic based on the request for return, by the user's instructions available on the link. In addition, the news is the possibility of returning/replacing tickets, purchased through a website/application.
