HAKOM held annual meeting with consumer protection associations and operators

The aim of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation with association representatives, exchange information and proposals, and provide information on users’ rights

ZAGREB, 23 September 2026 - The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) held its annual meeting with consumer protection associations. This is a regular practice organised by HAKOM, with the aim of strengthening cooperation with association representatives, exchanging information and proposals, and providing information on users’ rights. HAKOM is the regulator responsible for electronic communications, postal and railway services.

The meeting was held in Zagreb on Tuesday, 22 September. The following consumer protection associations were invited: HUZUP; Zagreb Consumers’ Association (Društvo potrošač Zagreb); Međimurje Consumer (Međimurski potrošač); Međimurje Consumers’ Association (Društvo potrošača Međimurja); Varaždin Consumer (Varaždinski potrošač); Samobor Consumer Protection Association (Udruga za zaštitu potrošača grada Samobora); Potrošačica - Croatian Association for the Protection of Women and Men Consumers (Potrošačica - društvo za zaštitu potrošačica i potrošača Hrvatske); Bjelovar-Bilogora County Consumer Protection Association (Udruga za zaštitu potrošača Bjelovarsko-bilogorske županije); Rijeka Consumer Centre (Udruga Potrošački centar Rijeka); Vukovar-Srijem County Consumer Protection Centre “Consumer Voice” (Centar za zaštitu potrošača Vukovarsko-srijemske županije „Glas potrošača“); Dalmatian Consumer (Dalmatinski potrošač); Split Consumer (Splitski potrošač); and the Slavonski Brod Association for Consumer Education, Protection and Information (Udruga za edukaciju, zaštitu i informiranje potrošača Slavonski Brod), as well as public communications network operators Hrvatski Telekom, A1 Hrvatska and Telemach Hrvatska.
