A paper entitled “Experiences of HAKOM in the implementation of the Electronic Communications Act, based on the regulatory framework of the European Union from 2009”, was published in the leading expert-scientific magazine in the area of telecommunications in Serbia.

Deputy President of the Council of HAKOM, Domagoj Jurjević, has been elected as Vice-Chair of BEREC, the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications. 

Following the Croatian accession to the European Union, the traffic in roaming increased by more than 100 per cent when compared with the same period of the previous year.

HAKOM has adopted a decision on the issuance of licenses for the use of the remaining “digital dividend” spectrum to VIPnet and Hrvatski Telekom. By the payment of licenses, the operators will make an unplanned increase of the State Budget revenue by HRK 290 million.

The 9^th Telecom Arena, a professional conference on the topic of electronic communications, was held in Zagreb on 20 - 22 March.

The Digital Television in South East Europe Project: SEE Digi.TV was presented at the workshop on digital dividend, where three panel discussions were held on digital television and digital dividend, in accordance with the approved SEE Programme project proposal (www.southeast-europe.net).
