The annual plenary session of IRG Rail (Independent Regulators Group-Rail) was held on 19 and 20 November in Luxembourg.
 
ZAGREB, 21 November 2014 – The annual plenary session of IRG Rail (Independent Regulators Group-Rail) was held on 19 and 20 November in Luxembourg. HAKOM was represented at the meeting by Nikola Popović, a member of the Council of HAKOM and Dragica Flam, senior expert for rail services.
 
Documents representing a joint position of IRG Rail were adopted at this meeting. These documents cover the methodology for calculating direct costs incurred as a consequence of train operation, the methodology for calculating fees for rail services on the blocked part of the infrastructure and the role of regulatory authorities in relation to the corridor OSSs (One-Stop-Shops) for the purpose of harmonized access to supervision of rail freight corridors. Several other topics important for the common European rail market were also discussed at the meeting.
                                                                                                                        
In addition to the discussion and voting on central topics, the session included the evaluation of progress achieved by IRG-Rail during 2014 and presentation of the work programme for the following year.
