On May 15, new rules for international calls within the EU shall come into force. Therefore, the workshop, held in Brussels, was connected to the implementation of these rules in the EU Member States. 

The application for issuing the permit may be filed within 30 days of publication date of the notice at HAKOM’s website. 

The final decision on granting the license will follow after the analysis and review of tender documentation, expected in the first half of February.  

The retail price regulation for telephone calls and SMS text messages will be applied from May 15, 2019. Before applying this Regulation, the end users will be informed about all details by HAKOM.

The plenary meeting discussed the topics of interest and importance for all stakeholders in the postal services market in the EU 

Ensuring the preconditions and the activities aimed at inclusion and promotion of persons with disabilities in digital society are of utmost importance while operators, regulatory bodies and associations will jointly work on it in the forthcoming period. 

The gathering will be held on Thursday, 29 November 2018, at the FER premises in Zagreb. The aim of the conference is to review the position of people with disabilities as users of electronic communication services. 

On Monday, a conference on „The Playground of new Age" was held in Zagreb within the scope of public media campaigns entitled "Security worth click". 

The Forum brought together the representatives of civil society, academia, the industry and private sectors. HAKOM’s experts took part in the meeting. 

The WiFi4EU project is aimed at the EU citizens and visitors who will have the possibility to access Wi-Fi in public areas free of charge, and the access points installation for wireless internet can be funded using a voucher assigned by the EU. 

The two important topics in the panel discussions will be "The Resistance of Democracy to Cyberattacks" and "The EU Copyright Reform” 

On 26 and 27 September, the Haag hosted the meeting of Access Working Group operating within the scope of IRG – Rail - Independent Regulator’s Group – as well as to the second  IRG-Rail Rail Freight Forum 

HAKOM will be soon carrying out the process of extraordinary technical inspection of FM radio stations and the usage of the 5470-5725 MHz band pursuant to the general license. 

In the second quarter of 2018, a positive trend was recorded in the volume of transported goods as well as a growth of 12 percent in comparison to the same quarter of the previous year.

The trend of parcel services growth in the Croatian market has continued in the second quarter of 2018 in comparison to the previous quarter and the same period of the previous year, eventually recording revenue growth in the postal services market. 

In the second quarter of 2018, the electronic communications market recorded the total growth in revenue and the number of users. The market growth was generated through the provision of the Internet access services but the revenues from traditional voice telephony services, including text and MMS massages have been in constant decline
