The city of Opatija hosted the round table on the advantages of introducing the 5G network, possible application and impact on the economic growth. 

By the end of 2020, two more calls will be organized, including one that should be held at the end of this year. In the second round, 142 Croatian cities and municipalities have received vouchers, and in the first round 224, in the total amounting 5.490.000 EUR.

Within the scope of the Third Workers Conference on volunteering which aims to encourage corporate volunteering, HAKOM has joined the organization that has signed the Volunteering Charter.

HAKOM organizes a traditional "Market Day". The 42nd International Conference on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics, MIPRO 2019, will be held on May 23, 2019 at the Grand Hotel Adriatic Opatija. 

 

The conference brought together the national regulatory bodies and representatives of the industry and it was open to participation for all stakeholders in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors. 

A two-day meeting was attended by the representatives of the regulatory bodies of the EU Member States as well the members of the European Commission and representatives of the EaP partners.  

Tender Offers may be submitted to HAKOM no later than June 14, 2019 until 10 a.m. (CET), regardless of how the offer is delivered. 

RF management and monitoring as well as protection of  service  end- users   was  the subject of a two-day meeting of national regulatory agencies, held in Zagreb. 

The number of 216 pre-registered local self-government units in the areas of the Republic of Croatia will have the opportunity to win voucher during the first call. The criterion of the value voucher allocation is sequence of registration.

The Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds has announced a call to the local and regional self-government units as project holder within the Framework Programme for the development of Broadband Infrastructure, to express their interest in participating in the pre-selection process that will be co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. 

"Be Smart with Smart Technologies” - Consumer Protection in the Digital World" is the topic of this year's World Consumer Rights Day. 

At the end of 2018, the number of broadband Internet access connections in the fixed network was more than 1,120 million, an increase of around 2.5% compared to 2017. 

The conference was organized with the aim of improving the activities undertaken in relation to the protection of consumer rights in the Republic of Croatia and strengthening the cooperation of all stakeholders in this process.
 

The final decision on granting the license will follow after the analysis and verification of the requests received, which is expected in the first half of March this year.
