HAKOM’s Council has adopted the Ordinance on Amendments to the Ordinance on Amateur Radio Communications, the Ordinance on Amendments to the Ordinance on Terms of Assignment and Use of the Radio Frequency Spectrum and Ordinance on declaring the Ordinance on Technical Requirements for Electronic Communications Network of Commercial and Residential Buildings Null and Void. 

HAKOM participated in the ERGP’s 13th Plenary Meeting in Bonn and the Topic of the Meeting was Protection of the End Users and Promotion of Effective Competition in the EU Single Market.

The objective of the roundtable was to give an overview of the position of people with disabilities as users of electronic communications services and to provide guidelines for further improvement. 

The ENRRB is the European Commission’s advisory body responsible for the issues and practices in the area of ​​rail transport aimed at harmonization at the European Union level. 

A plenary meeting was held at the premises of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb, and HAKOM’s representatives took part in it. 

Paris hosted the meeting of IRG-Rail, an independent network of European regulatory bodies for railways and HAKOM took part in the meeting. 

A two-day workshop on the topic related to the new generation networks, network sharing and local loop unbundling is organized by EMERG and Detecon. 

The topic of the meeting was the radio spectrum provisions with the aim to bring together the joint views of the Council  and the European Parliament in order to adopt final text. 

By means of the broadband services mapping project in Europe, the EC establishes platform with infrastructure and services within the EU, facilitating the launch of investment and the protection of users’ rights through the transparency of the quality of service delivery. 

The Discussion topic of the meeting was on the 5G technologies, the issues  regarding solution of the problem regarding  preparation of other digital dividends, communication technologies for preparation of program content and special event as well as the special activities concerning the preparation of ITU World Conference 2019. 

Following the invitation of the organizer the Central State Office for the Development of the Digital Society, the meeting was held on the topic related to the DESI Index and measures necessary to help the Republic of Croatia to develop in all areas determined by DESI scale. 

At the meeting of the Committee for Electronic Communications (ECC) the most important discussion topic was, inter alia, the radio frequency spectrum for 5G technologies, the use of L belts (1.5 GHZ) for mobile communications networks, IO at 900 and 1800 MHz as well as the topic on cooperation with the European Commission and other international organizations. 

These documents will enable HAKOM to carry out the analysis of existing policy of the Universal Service Provider. 

Within the scope of the manifestation, HAKOM’s Infrastructure Expert, Vladimir Žuti held a lecture on "Low-voltage electrical installations of buildings within the area of electronic communications". 

Under the slogan "Connected by Knowledge (... 25 Years…) this year's CARNet Users Conference gathered over a thousand participants "  

The project team is responsible for preparing the regulatory framework and the organization of the use of the radio frequency spectrum allocated to the satellite service. 

The primary goal of the workshop was to present the latest research in the field of fiber optic technology for access networks. 

HAKOM's experts have been conducting measuring activities due to interferences coming from Italy which are causing the reception  problem of Croatian radio and television programs on the Adriatic coast and on the islands., The amount of 680 new complaints was submitted to the Italian administration with a request for their removal. 

In order to encourage investments in the construction of optical fibre access networks, HAKOM invites the interested public to participate in public consultation, open from October the 31st to November the 10th. 

After the meeting of the "Admission and Advancement (A & A) Senior Member Review Panel" held on October 7, 2017 in Taiwan, the Croatian IEEE section is richer for 16 new Senior Members, with membership of around 10%.at the global level
