28th Plenary Meeting of the ERGP Held in Istanbul

The ERGP is an advisory body to the European Commission, whose main objective is the consolidation of the internal market for postal services and the consistent application of relevant regulations.

ZAGREB, 4 July 2025 - The European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) held its 28th plenary meeting this week in Istanbul, under the chairmanship of Dan Sjöblom (PTS, Sweden). A draft Work Programme for 2026 and a Medium-Term Strategy for 2026-2028 were adopted. These documents will be subject to public consultation from 7 July to 3 October 2025.

During the plenary meeting, four important reports were adopted and will be published on the ERGP website:

ERGP PL I (25) 11 - ERGP Report: The Delivery Ecosystem - Value Chain and New Business Models in the Postal Sector
ERGP PL I (25) 8 - ERGP Report on Postal Tariff Indicators

Prior to the plenary meeting, a workshop was held on the topic "The Postal Sector in the Digital Age: Innovation and Regulation", bringing together experts who discussed the role of innovation, artificial intelligence, and automation in the development of the sector. The conclusions of the workshop will contribute to a future report on technological and sustainable solutions in the sector.
