Call for Proposals for the “European Broadband Awards 2021”

Projects for tender may be applied the latest until 17 September, 2021 and the aim is to promote successfully completed projects, but also those in the implementation phase.

ZAGREB, 31 August 2021 - The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), as Croatian office for broadband services( Broadband Competence Office, informs the public that this year's public call has been opened in reference to the  project applications for the European Broadband Awards 2021. These are the awards for the best broadband infrastructure projects planned for autumn. The aim of the award is to successfully promote the completed projects, but also those in the implementation phase. The call for applications has been opened until 17 September 2021 and it is possible to apply for all types of projects in the advanced phase of implementation, irrespective of size and location, applying different technological solutions. Projects may be developed in local and regional self-government units, and those financed from private sources and using innovative investment, business or financial models, as well as projects co-financed by the EU grants, shall also be taken into account.

All initiators and contractors of broadband infrastructure projects, regardless of the size of the projects, location or used technologies, are invited to apply through the application form available on the link.

The projects will be awarded in previous years. Many of them are among the finalists of this incentive prize, which aims to highlight  the examples of the good practice of the European broadband projects. The awarded prizes indicate that small projects of alternative operators, as well as local communities, are not only encouraged but also recognised and evaluated at the EU level.
