HAKOM at ELMAR 2014 International Symposium

A special session will be held as part of the ELMAR 2014 International Symposium, which will be focused on the latest scientific and professional achievements in radiofrequency spectrum planning and efficient management.
 
ZAGREB, 19 March 2014 – The programme of the 56th International Symposium ELMAR, which will take place from 10 to 12 September in Zadar, has included a special session on radiofrequency spectrum management, with HAKOM as this special session’s lead organiser. The special session entitled “New Trends in Spectrum Engineering” will be focused on current issues and challenges regarding radiofrequency planning and usage. Efficient management of this limited natural resource is a crucial aspect for the development and implementation of new services and technologies, and it encompasses the issues of RF spectrum usage and frequency planning, cross-border co-ordination, co-existence and protection of different radiocommunications systems, etc.    
 
The aim of this special session is to gather the representatives of operators, the industry and academic community and promote their latest scientific achievement in this area, with special emphasis on research activities related to the development of Cognitive radio, the integration of LTE, the development of advanced wireless, mobile and radio-broadcasting technologies, digital dividend planning and usage, etc.
