HAKOM at the ICANN 50 Conference

HAKOM is participating at the 50th ICANN conference which is taking place from 21 to 26 June in London.  

ZAGREB, 26 June 2014 – The 50th meeting of the ICANN organization (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) is taking place in London from 21 to 26 June. The topics discussed at the conference, in addition to technical issues concerning management and coordination of unique internet identifiers, included a wider context of internet management: protection of public interest and the manner of determination and implementation of internet management policy. A high-level meeting was organized during the conference and attended by representatives of governments of many countries from all continents. This gathering was hosted by Ed Vaizey, Her Majesty’s Minister for Culture, Communications and Creative Industries. The Republic of Croatia was represented at the ICANN conference and at the meetings of the GAC (Govermental Advisory Committee) group by Zdravko Jukić, a member of the Council of HAKOM.
