HAKOM grants aid – 13 target users more to go

ZAGREB, 12 December 2013 – At the third competition for the granting of aid for a fast development of broadband networks in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and islands, HAKOM has selected VIPnet’s offers for the construction of networks for fast Internet for public institutions, such as schools, health centres and other users in four targeted areas (counties).
 
After the analysis of offers, decision was made to accept the offers for the County of Bjelovar-Bilogora, Dubrovnik-Neretva, Krapina-Zagorje and Sisak-Moslavina. The granted aid totals to almost HRK 4 million. After the agreement is entered into with the selected tenderer, HAKOM will launch a new tender for the granting of aid for the only remaining county – the County of Slavonski Brod-Posavina. It remains to provide broadband access for 13 target users in this county, all of which are primary schools.
 

In the first two HAKOM’s tenders for the granting of aid, almost HRK 29.5 million were granted for the construction of fast networks in the County of Osijek-Baranja, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Lika-Senj, Karlovac, Požega-Slavonia, Split-Dalmatia, Šibenik-Knin, Virovitica-Podravina, Vukovar-Srijem and Zadar.
