HAKOM has published a Report on HAKOMetar Plus Measurement Results conducted by the Users of all three National Operators in the Period from April to September this Year
ZAGREB, October 30, 2017 - The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) has published a report on measured Internet speeds in the Croatian mobile networks. The report is based on the measuring results by means of Internet application and the measuring tool HAKOMetar Plus, all measurements were made by the users of all three Croatian mobile operators. The reporting period refers to the second and third quarters from April to September this year.
Measured network parameters, such as average speeds and responses, demonstrate increased operator’s investments in mobile networks, especially 4G networks.
Thus, the average download speed of all measurements in the observed period, including 2G, 3G and 4G technology, was 27.6 Mbit / s, while for 4G measurements it was 35.9 Mbit / s. The average upload rate of all measurements was 11.6 Mbit / s, for 4G measurements-15.8 Mbit / s and at the same time the average ping value was 39.8 ms and 28.4 ms for 4G measurements.
The HAKOM report, which also includes graphical results measured each month per each operator can be found at the following link https://www.hakom.hr/default.aspx?id=512.
In the second half of April this year, HAKOM has released the measuring tool HAKOMetar Plus, a free internet application that inter alia measures the Internet connection parameters such as speed in incoming and outgoing directions and responses. The application has been downloaded over 13,000 times. Over the last six months, more than 15,000 individual measurings have been carried out by the users of the Croatian Telecom, VIPnet and Tele2 which are systematized at the moment to show the most interesting statistical data to the public. HAKOM invites all Croatian mobile Internet users to use HAKOMetar Plus as a free Internet speed measuring tool instead of other similar tools. HAKOMetar Plus can be downloaded free of charge in Google or Apple store apps and unlike others each performed measurement of this app has added value - all users create an independent picture on the quality of their mobile network!
