HAKOM Hosts a Working Meeting with Regulators from Neighbouring Countries
ZAGREB, 16 June 2025 - The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) hosted a working meeting this week, attended by 15 representatives of regulatory bodies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Serbia.
The main topics of the meeting were the current issues and challenges in the field of consumer protection, with a particular focus on the exchange of experiences and the enhancement of regulatory practices.
Special attention was given to the application of European regulations and their alignment with national legislation. In this context, the representatives from the EU Member States shared their practical experiences with colleagues from countries that are still in the process of aligning with EU standards.
Such an exchange of knowledge and experience is a valuable contribution to strengthening cooperation among the regulators in the region, with the ultimate aim of improving the protection of consumer rights and harmonising with the best European practices.
The meeting once again confirmed the importance of continuous dialogue and cooperation among regulatory authorities in order to ensure high-quality and effective consumer protection in a dynamic market environment.
