HAKOM Participates in ERGP's 30th Plenary Meeting and Workshop in Malta

The ERGP brings together the national regulatory authorities for postal services from EU Member States, European Economic Area countries and EU candidate countries.

ZAGREB, 2 July 2026 - Representatives of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) took part in an internal workshop organised by the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) and attended the 30th ERGP Plenary Meeting, held in Valletta, Malta, on 25 and 26 June.

Prior to the plenary meeting, an internal workshop was held on data collection within the current and future regulatory framework. Participants explored regulatory and analytical challenges, as well as opportunities to improve the efficiency, consistency and sustainability of data collection and use by national regulatory authorities and the ERGP.

During the 30th ERGP Plenary Meeting, participants discussed and approved the draft 2027 Work Programme, which will be launched for public consultation over the summer. They also adopted three reports addressing key regulatory developments in the European postal sector.

While in Valletta, HAKOM representatives also attended the conference Trust in a Connected World: Challenges and Opportunities, jointly organised by the Malta Communications Authority (MCA) and the ERGP. The conference brought together representatives of regulatory authorities, postal operators, academia and other stakeholders to discuss ways of strengthening trust, resilience and reliability across the communications, digital and postal sectors.

The ERGP brings together the national regulatory authorities responsible for postal services from the Member States of the European Union, the countries of the European Economic Area and EU candidate countries. Its mission is to promote the development of a single European postal market and to support the consistent application of the regulatory framework governing postal services.
