HAKOM presents its experience in switch-over to DTV and digital dividend allocation

At the invitation by the ITU, HAKOM’s experts presented the experiences of the Republic of Croatia in the switch-over to digital broadcasting of the TV signal and the allocation of the digital dividend at a regional seminar in Budapest, Hungary.
 
ZAGREB, 29 January 2014 – The Republic of Croatia is among the leading countries in the world concerning the switch-over to the digital broadcasting of the TV signal and the digital dividend, the radio frequency space freed by the switch-over and allocated to the mobile communications network operators, primarily with the aim to introduce broadband services in rural areas. Thanks to its knowledge and experience in this area, HAKOM’s experts are often invited to take part in conferences in Croatia and abroad. On this occasion, at the invitation by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), HAKOM’s representatives gave two lectures at the regional seminar in Budapest, dedicated to the switch-over to digital terrestrial broadcasting of the TV signal and the digital dividend in Europe. The presenters were Mr. Dražen Lučić, Ph.D., President of Council, and Ms. Ivančica Sakal, M.Sc., Radiocommunications Department Manager.
