Information Workshop on possibilities of using the financial instrument CEF

A workshop aimed at informing key stakeholders on the conditions of calls for proposals and interconnecting potential project partners will take place on 20 September.
 
ZAGREB, 17 August 2022 - The European Commission is organizing an informative online workshop related to the submission of project proposals under the Digital Programme of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for “5G for smart Communities”, with the aim of informing key stakeholders on the conditions of calls for proposals and interconnecting potential partners on the projects. The workshop will be held on September 20, from 10 to 12 a.m. On this occasion, the European Commission will present the call, including the experiences from the previous call, after which a panel discussion will be held on how 5G can contribute to smart communities.

Participants who are already planning the project for this call will have the opportunity to present their cases of use of 5G, technology or pilot projects through four-minute presentations, as well as to find partners on the project, and should previously be registered by Friday, September the 9th to 12 a.m. through the following link. Meetings to find partners in the projects will begin on September 20th at 12 a.m.

Representatives of municipalities and cities will participate in the workshop as well as telecommunications and technology companies, socio-economic drivers of 5G use (especially in the areas of health care,  education, mobility, security, rural development, agriculture, and administration), European networks, associations and representative bodies, competent broadband offices and representatives of the European institutions.
