In the second quarter of 2018, a positive trend was recorded in the volume of transported goods as well as a growth of 12 percent in comparison to the same quarter of the previous year.

The trend of parcel services growth in the Croatian market has continued in the second quarter of 2018 in comparison to the previous quarter and the same period of the previous year, eventually recording revenue growth in the postal services market. 

In the second quarter of 2018, the electronic communications market recorded the total growth in revenue and the number of users. The market growth was generated through the provision of the Internet access services but the revenues from traditional voice telephony services, including text and MMS massages have been in constant decline

HAKOM hosted a Polish regulator at the two-day bilateral meeting 

A public discussion on the proposals of HAKOM’s Annual Work Programme and Annual Financial Plan for 2019 has begun. The public discussion is open to the interested public by August 20. 

Act on the Cyber Security of the Key Service Operators and Digital Services Providers was published in the "Official Gazette"  on 18. July 2018, and it shall come into force on the eighth day after its publication. 

Due to favourable conditions for spreading the electromagnetic waves, long-term interferences are even more pronounced in the summer time. Last year, some of the disturbances were eliminated by switching off dominant interfering TV transmitters, but the interferences caused by the Italian transmitters with the Croatian TV channels have not been completely eliminated yet. 

The interested public, as well as all stakeholders at the postal services market in the Republic of Croatia can actively participate in the public discussion on Draft ERGP Work Programme for 2019. 

The projects can be submitted by September 7, 2018, aimed at promoting successfully completed projects, as well as projects in the phase of implementation or planning. 

Brussels hosted the meeting of ENRRB, an advisory body of the European Commission for the rail freight market 

National regulatory authorities are obliged to draft reports once a year and submit them to the European Commission and BEREC. 

During the interesting and interactive discussions, participants were introduced to the rights and obligations of users and operators of electronic communications services related to the conclusion and termination of subscription agreements and the possibilities of controlling consumption and protection against unwanted billings. 

The workshop was organized by the City of Solin gathering the representatives of the cities and municipalities of the Split-Dalmatia County. 

According to the regulations, the Council of HAKOM will announce a public call for appointment of the Acting Executive Director within next 30 days. 

In the first quarter of 2018 the total volume of goods transported by rail increased by 4 compared to the same quarter of the year before. 

A new call for applications will be launched in the autumn 2018, (exact date to be announced)
