At the meeting held in Gdansk-Sopot, the main topics were related to the BEREC document on common positions regarding monitoring the signal coverage of mobile communications networks, the distribution of infrastructure among mobile operators and the discussion on the importance and impact of data economy. 

In the first Quarter of 2018 on the Postal Services Market the total revenue growth has been marked compared to the Quarter before as well as to the same Quarter 2017. 

Zagreb hosted the two-day bilateral meeting of railway regulatory body of the Republic of Macedonia and the Croatian regulatory authority HAKOM. 

The Croatian users of roaming mobile services abroad used the Internet 20 times more with duration of calls almost 5 times longer than in the same period last year when the Regulation „Roam like at Home” (RLAH) was not in force. 

The discussion topic was the changes to the selection criteria and methodology for selecting the operations within the Investment Model 2a, related to the access NGA networks in white areas. 

Within the scope of the Conference a series of presentations on innovations related to the improvement of the international road-mapping process were presented, the news related to the IT system as well as for the international route coordination system. 

The topics related to the innovation and economic potential were discussed as well as possible barriers to the introduction of 5G technology  

HAKOM's experts participated at the plenary meeting of the Independent Network of Railway Regulatory Bodies, which was held in Turin last week. 

The Round Table will be held on May 22, 2018 in Opatija within the 41st International Conference on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics, MIPRO 2018 

On Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., a call for awarding grants from the WiFi4EU program was launched. All local government units from the Republic of Croatia that registered in advance can apply. The deadline for all applications is 15th June 2018

The workshop will be held on May 23, 2018 in HAKOM premises, and all parties interested in participation can apply by May, 15. According to JL(R)S and  due to the limited capacity, one person can be registered for a workshop. 

Tonko Obuljen, B.Sc.E.E. has been appointed President of HAKOM’s Council, Darko Josipović, univ.spec.oec, M.Eng.Traff. Deputy President while Nikola Popović, Ph.D., Mislav Hebel, M.Sc. E.E and Ante Milas univ. spec. oec. have been appointed the Members of the Council.

 

The aim of the expert workshop is the transfer of knowledge and experience and technical support in the field of regulating and adapting the postal services market in Montenegro regarding the experience of HAKOM’s experts in drafting the the postal services market development strategy in the Republic of Croatia in accordance with the EU directives. 

HAKOM participated at the EaPeReg Plenary Meeting  held in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. 

Following the invitation of the organizer Brussels hosted  the Broadband Competence Offices Support Facility (BCO-SF), where knowledge and  share of experience was acquired in the process of awarding state aid in the field of fast electronic communications networks.

During the interesting and interactive discussions, participants were introduced to the rights and obligations of users and operators of electronic communications services related to the conclusion and termination of subscription agreements and the possibilities of controlling consumption and protection against unwanted billings. 

Within the scope of the conference numerous lectures and roundtables on broadband internet were  held as well as  new generation network development and 5G network implementation. HAKOM's specialists held  lectures  the first day of the conference. 

Experts from HAKOM held a lecture on consumer rights for  the  users of electronic communications and postal services and the rights of passengers in rail transport.
