Prior to this, in July 2016 the public consultation was carried out for both documents. 

The conference highlighted a significant growth in investing into the modern electronic communications network, railway infrastructure as well as revenue growth on the postal services market, primarily due to e-commerce. This is a good foundation that can significantly improve the position of the Croatian economy within the EU’s digital single market. 

The Working Party on Telecommunications and Information Society held a meeting whose topic was the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and the Council on privacy and protection of personal data in electronic communications. The working group responsible for the postal services discussed the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on cross-border parcel delivery services. 

Within the scope of the development programme e-business entitled e-Agency, HAKOM has put into operation application entitled E-Right of Way. The business policy of getting closer to the end-users has been continued while faster and cheaper methods of providing certain documents have been enabled as well. 

The total amount of rail freight transport increased by 22 percent compared to the previous quarter of the same year 

HAKOM participated at the 22nd -Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 which took place from February - 2 March, 2017 in Barcelona.

Increased activities on the postal services market continued in the last quarter of 2016 which resulted in the increased number of postal services and total revenue    

At the session which was held in Paris the main topics were  workshops and discussions on the review of regulatory framework for electronic communications as well as discussions on the guidelines drafted by BEREC regarding the implementation of Roaming Regulation which should come into force on June 15

The Government of the Republic of Croatia Appointed the President of the Council of HAKOM Mr. Dražen Lučić as a Member of the National Cyber Security Council. Mr. Mario Weber, the Executive Director at HAKOM was appointed as a Deputy Member. 

Following the approval given by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Council of HAKOM adopted Amendments to the Statute of HAKOM, which entered into force on February, 16.
 

The main subject at the meeting was the work of the Network Neutrality Expert Working Group in 2017 with an emphasis on the method of implementation of the TSM Regulation in the EU Member States.

The meeting for a preliminary analysis of the Proposal to the Ordinance was held in Brussels. The meeting aimed at the processing of personal data and Protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector entitled E-policy Regulation was sent into the legislative procedure by the European Commission at the beginning of the year. 

The Association for Communication and Media culture and the Agency for the Electronic Media organized and held a round table on “Media Literacy for Responsible Society”. 

The objective of the meeting was defining the implementing methods of new regulatory framework, which will ultimately lead to the abolition of additional retail roaming charges, which should come into force on June 15, 2017. 

The meeting of the advisory group operating within the scope of the European Commission was held in Brussels.

At the meeting of the WGSE working group HAKOM's expert Krunoslav Bejuk was re-elected vice-president for the term of office of three years. The WGSE working group is one of the most important group of Electronic Communications Committee ECC. 

The main objective of the meeting was the preparation of the 30th regular BEREC Plenary Meeting which was held on February 22 and 23 2017 in Paris, France.
