The President of the Council at HAKOM Mr. Dražen Lučić participated in a panel discussion on the topic "50 Shades of Digital Marketing: The challenges of digital transformation and regulatory frameworks."

Consumers who do not want to be contacted by sellers for the purpose of promoting or selling without an obtained prior consent of the so-called „Consent” are free to enrol in a public registry of consumer protection” Do Not Call” as of Tuesday  February  the 1st. The registry was put into operation at noon in the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship and HAKOM. 

The lecture for the parents of the fifth grade elementary school children, Petar Zrinski was held in Zagreb in order to provide necessary information regarding responsible behaviour when using network technologies when children start using it without permanent supervision by their parents. 

HAKOM has a long and successful cooperation with the colleagues from Portugal, which is reflected in the exchange of experience, primarily in the field of regulation of electronic communications and postal services. 

Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EC) 531/2012 as regards rules for wholesale roaming markets was the  topic discussed at the meeting. The adoption of this Regulation is a necessary precondition for complete elimination of retail roaming charges which is expected by June 2017. 

Meeting of the International Roaming Expert Working Group on the issue of  radio frequency spectrum and on the mobile communications networks coverage was held in Brussels. 

The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) inserted information leaflet in order to inform and educate the end- users of public electronic communications services. The objective is that the end-users should be acquainted with rights and obligations of operators, especially in the conclusion and termination of the subscriber’s contracts, control spending and protection of the unwanted billings 

HAKOM warns of a new attempt of abuse of electronic communications and fraud against users by means of a personalized text message asking users to return a call. 

The annual prize named after "Antun Carić," is awarded to the published or publicly presented scientific or professional work within HAKOM’s scope of work. 

The Italian regulatory authority AGCOM and the EU organized the two-day workshop which was held in Rome.  

IRG-Rail Working Group, responsible for market monitoring, held a meeting on the publication of data collected on the market for 2015 in Vienna. 

In this manner the end-users are informed about the rights and obligations, in particular with the method of filing the complaints to the postal service providers. 

This Seminar’s discussion topics were related to the use of radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits, as well as the implementation of the provisions of the ITU Radio Regulations 

Following the invitation of the organizers the European Commission and DG CONNECT the second workshop was held in Brussels regarding the project "Mapping of Broadband Services in Europe" (SMART 2014/0016)  

At the meeting of COCOM's committee the members voted on the Draft Implementing Regulation on standards of fair dealing in roaming and sustainability. After the voting the presidency established that the Committee did adopt neither a positive nor a negative opinion. 

At the plenary session BEREC adopted its opinion on the proposal of the European Commission regarding the review of the regulatory framework for the electronic communications. 

The European Commission and the Organization European Rail Infrastructure Managers and Allocation Bodies, RailNetEurope, organized in Vienna the 3^rd European Rail Freight Day. 

At a bilateral meeting held in Ljubljana HAKOM negotiated the frequency registers for the 146-174 MHz band and the proposal for an agreement on the 410-430 MHz band. This will facilitate the international coordination of frequencies for private mobile communications networks. The meeting also included a discussion on possible cooperation in the field of 5G technologies. 

The Radio Spectrum Commitee, inter alia, helps the EC in the adoption of implementing decisions concerning the management of the spectrum in the EU Member States.
