The share of fixed high-speed broadband connections of 30 Mbit/s and higher grew from slightly under 3 percent to around 11 percent in one year, which is a result of operators’ investments into electronic communications networks and increased user demand for high-speed internet access service. At the same time, the market of pay-TV has been growing continuously and there was the expected increase in the number of users and traffic in mobile communications networks due to the seasonal effect of tourism.

The topics of the meeting included the European Parliament Resolution of 15 September 2016 on the application of the Postal Services Directive and draft Regulation on cross-border parcel delivery services. 

The total amount of goods transported by rail increased by 17 percent compared to the previous quarter.  

A three-day workshop has been organized in Brussels with a view to exchanging experiences between experts from BEREC and representatives of EMERG concerning the evolution of the regulation of roaming in the European Union since the introduction of regulation to complete elimination of roaming fees. 

In the third quarter of 2016 the number of postal services and revenue has increased in comparison to the third quarter last year. 

Round tables with stakeholders on markets regulated by HAKOM are an additional step in the improvement of market regulation, in the first place aimed at promoting regulatory predictability by means of dialogue and discussions on current topics.  

The first signal measuring showed the removal of interferences in the County of Istria and Primorje-due to switching off the transmitters in the regions of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto himself. 

During an interesting and interactive discussion the participants were informed about operators’ and consumers’ rights in the field of electronic communications services regarding the conclusion and termination of subscriber’s contracts, the possibility of controlling consumption and protection of the unwanted billings. 

The programme whose objective is to educate the  primary school children by providing necessary information to their parents about responsible behaviour when using the network technologies was presented at the premises of the Ministry of Science and Education. 

The meeting focused on the indicators of the electronic communications market, market regulation, availability and development of broadband access in the Republic of Croatia, spectrum management, user protection, right of way and building conditions, investments into electronic communications infrastructure and access to electronic communications infrastructure.  

The purpose of the Round Table was to coordinate the activities of all actors on the rail services market, in particular to coordinate the working hours of all institutions in the Port of Rijeka with a view to improving the competitiveness of the Port of Rijeka and its role in the rail freight transport. 

The Conference on the electronic communication technologies and standards in informatics KOM 2016 was held on 28 and 29 November. The topics at the Conference which was attended by HAKOM's experts were the following: “Networks and Network technologies”, Telecommunications and Services t ”Network Management and Solutions“, “Mobile Networks Safety and Protection 

The project team is responsible for the preparation of the regulatory framework and organization of the use of radio frequency spectrum allocated to satellite service. 

The topic of the Seminar was an overview of the implementation of regulations in the field of electronic communications related to the planning, design and construction. The organizer of the seminar was the Croatian Chamber of Electrical Engineers (HKIE).

The Public Forum was held in the municipality of Gornji Mihaljevec and HAKOM’s experts informed the participants about rights and obligations of the end-users as well as the operators’ obligations of electronic communications services. 

HAKOM’s experts took part  in the ERGP 's Plenary Session in Naples, and the major topic  of the meeting was the ERGP medium-term strategy for the period 2017-2019 and the cross-border delivery  package delivery in the system of e-commerce from the perspective of the end- users as well as the  further development of the  EU postal services market. 

Following the invitation of the organizer, the Ministry of Regional Development and the EU Funds, the Meeting of the Monitoring Committee responsible for  the Operational Programme "Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014 - 2020" was held in Zagreb. 

The Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted the opinion according to which the Croatian Parliament should accept HAKOM's Annual Activity Report for 2015. The Croatian Parliament should discuss the Annual Activity Report and vote on its adoption. 

The meeting was convened with a view to developing recommendations on addressing and numbering and other regulatory technical issues in the electronic communications sector. 

A civil/military meeting is taking place in Prague aimed at improving the use of the spectrum and its harmonization.
