Starting today a free of charge HAKOM’s application called "Cost Estimator" has been put into operation. This Internet service enables users of phone services and Internet access to choose more easily the most favourable tariffs in accordance with their habits of phone calls and use of Internet  

On September 4,HAKOM’s Provision enters into force according to which the electronic communications operators are obliged to show all fees and total amount of fixed costs even in the application to close subscriber’s agreement, depending on the service and tariff selected by the end-user.
  

In the second quarter of 2015, the postal market in the Republic of Croatia has been enriched with a number of innovative services. 

The first summer month, June, affected revenue increase on the electronic communications market not only from the access to the Internet services, but also from the traditional phone service. In addition to it, the rise of so-called 4D package has already started. 

At the meeting, held on August 31, 2015, the Council of HAKOM adopted new Guidelines for Calculating the Net Cost of the Universal Service Obligations as well as Determination of Unfair Financial Burden of the Universal Service Provider. 

The most important topics at the workshop were technologies for mobile communications networks and RF spectrum allocation model important for the broadband mobile communications networks. 

Imenik d.o.o will start providing universal services in accordance with a Decision adopted by the Council of HAKOM at the latest by 29 November 2015 under the conditions and at prices approved by HAKOM.

On the basis of a decision adopted by the Senate of the University of Zagreb, a book written by Mr. Nikola Popović, PhD, has become a part of university reading lists. In his book the author deals with future of regulation and protection of competition in network industries.
  

HAKOM has been conducting measuring activities along the entire coast and on the islands, where the interferences have been the strongest. In addition to dealing with interferences from Italy, HAKOM’s experts have also been working on discovering and eliminating interferences reported by maritime and air traffic services.   

A seminar on the control of concentrations, abuse of dominant position and cooperation between competition authorities and regulatory authorities in the electronic communications sector is taking place in Sarajevo. One of the lecturers was Mr. Nikola Popović, a member of HAKOM’s council, who talked on the topic of the “Legal framework and cooperation practice between competition authorities and regulatory authorities in the electronic communications sector”.
