Number of postal services on the slight increase

PRESS RELEASE

Due to increased activity on the postal services market of the Republic of Croatia, more services were provided in the last quarter of 2014.

ZAGREB, 24 February 2015 – The postal services market in the Republic of Croatia recorded a positive trend in almost all market segments in the fourth quarter of 2014.

The number of provided services increased by seven percent as a result of which more services were provided in 2014 compared to 2013. The increase in the number of provided services on the postal services market ended the continuous drop in the total number of services that has existed for a few years. In addition to a slight increase in revenue, a growth trend in international traffic continued in the fourth quarter and it was 15% higher than in the previous quarter, which results from an increased number of packages related to e-commerce.

The list of postal service providers in the fourth quarter of 2014 included 21 providers with HP-Hrvatska pošta d.d. still being the most significant provider who maintained its share of 70% from the previous quarter.

Data on the postal services market in the fourth quarter are available at HAKOM’s website at the following link: https://www.hakom.hr/default.aspx?id=60.
