Public tender for digital radio launched

HAKOM has launched a public tender to provide a network management service for digital radio transmitters in DAB + standard. Issuing the licence to the best bidder is expected in early autumn.

ZAGREB, 22 July 2021 - At its session held on 22 July 2021 the Council of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) decided to call a public tender for issuing of an individual licence for the use of radio spectrum for the provision of the electronic communications network management service digital radio, for multiplex MUX 1 in the territory of the Republic of Croatia. DAB + Standard, Digital Audio Broadcasting +) will be used in this multiplex. The tender was launched to enable commercial operation of the DAB + network in the Republic of Croatia. The terms of participation in the tender and decision making on the selection of the most favourable tender are prescribed in the tender documentation, which can be downloaded free of charge on the following link (link to the RAR tender documentation).

Tenders may be submitted to HAKOM by 10 September 2021 at the latest by 10:00 a.m. regardless of the means of tender submission.

The decision to issue the licence shall be brought no later than 11 October 2021.
