Record Revenue and Parcel Volumes in the Postal Services Market in Q4 2025

In the fourth quarter of 2025, postal services generated almost EUR 110 million in revenue, marking the highest quarterly revenue to date.

ZAGREB, 12 March 2026 - Data submitted by postal service providers for Q4 2025 confirm the continuation of long-term trends in the postal services market: a continued decline in letter-post volumes, alongside strong growth in parcel services and an increase in total revenue. Current trends indicate that the expansion of parcel services is expected to continue in the coming period.

Growth in the Total Number of Postal Services

In Q4 2025, a total of 70.9 million postal services were provided, representing an increase of 10.1 per cent compared with the same period in 2024.
This growth was primarily driven by increased distribution of printed media, managed by HP - Hrvatska pošta d.d. since mid-2025, and by a significant rise in the number of parcels.

More than 19 million parcels were handled in the last quarter, the highest quarterly volume recorded to date, representing a 15.4 per cent increase compared with the end of 2024. Parcels accounted for almost 27 per cent of all postal services in 2025. Over the full year, a total of 262.7 million services were provided, an increase of 3.3 per cent compared with 2024. The rise in printed items and parcel services effectively offset the decline in the letter-post segment. A positive trend was also observed in international traffic, with 6.6 million services recorded in Q4, representing an increase of 14.3 per cent.

Record Financial Results

Total revenue from postal services in 2025 reached EUR 402.9 million, an increase of 10.7 per cent compared with the previous year.
The fourth quarter alone generated EUR 110 million, the highest quarterly revenue to date, representing a 16 per cent increase on the same period in 2024.
Revenue growth was driven primarily by a higher volume of services, particularly parcels, and to a lesser extent by price adjustments for certain services.

Postal Service Providers and Parcel Locker Network

At the end of 2025, postal services were provided by 24 operators.
HP - Hrvatska pošta d.d. retained its leading position, with a market share of 81 per cent by number of services and 56.3 per cent by revenue.
Providers continue to invest in infrastructure and in expanding the parcel locker network, which grew from 2,650 lockers in September to 2,892 in December, representing a 9 per cent increase in a single quarter.
