Universal service as the central topic of the 7th ERGP’s Plenary Session

HAKOM is participating in ERGP’s 7th Plenary Session focused on universal service and all related issues.
 
ZAGREB, 20 November 2014 – The 7th Plenary Session of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) is taking place in Bucharest. The session was organized by the Romanian National Authority for Management and Regulation (ANCOM). HAKOM is represented at the gathering by Marijan Bolarić, a Member of the Council, and Dalibor Lončar, Assistant Director of HAKOM.
 
The plenary session will cover issues such as the scope of universal service and its development in the past ten years as well as net cost of unfair burden in the last decade, that is, financing models for unfair financial burden of the obligation to provide universal service.
 
The day before the 7th Plenary Session, there was a joint workshop of members of ERGP and leading national operators in the EU on the implementation of the universal service obligation in the postal services sector from the market development perspective.
