25. Plenary Session ECC WG NaN held in Zagreb

The ECC Task Force on Numbering and Networks brings together representatives of regulators from 28 European countries.
 
Zagreb, 24 November 2022 Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) hosted the plenary session of WG NaN, ECC’s task force for numbering and networks, which was held in Zagreb. ECC Working Group WG NaN (Numbering and Networks) brings together representatives of regulatory bodies from 28 European countries, including the Republic of Croatia. Altogether 60 representatives of regulators and industry (Apple UK, CETECOM GmbH, Frequentis AG, VIVO TECH GmbH, ZES BVBA, Microsoft Corp., Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation Japan, BT ECAS) participated in the meeting and were also attended by representatives of the European Commission, the European Emergency Numbers Association (EENA112) and ETSI and ECO observers.

This is the 25th plenary meeting of the working group, responsible for developing a policy on numbering, appointing, addressing and advising on technical regulatory issues to promote and support telecommunications innovation and competition. During the three-day session, the activities were presented in the PT NaN1, PT NaN2 and PT NaN3 project teams, the documents they delivered, as well as plans for future work. The agenda of the meeting was organised in five sessions and the most important documents discussed were: Draft Recommendation ECC/REC/(16)02 on “Extraterritorial use of E.164 numbers” — Principles of high level  allocation and use ’, Draft Recommendation ECC/REC/(11)03 on “Machine-machine numbering and addressing (M2M)”, Draft Recommendation ECC/REC/(17)02 on “Harmonised European principles of management and allocation for geographic E.212 mobile network codes (MNC)” and draft ECC report on “Defining and calculating the availability of space in cable channels”.
