HAKOM’s 8th roundtable with postal market stakeholders

ZAGREB, 9 December 2021 – Following the invitation of the organizer, Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries, the 8th round table of postal market stakeholders in the Republic of Croatia was held in Zagreb on Wednesday, 8 December 2021, bringing together 30 participants. The representatives of postal service providers participated at the round table: A2B Express Logistika d.o.o., Rhea d.o.o., Insako logistika d.o.o. (logIN), DHL International d.o.o., Overseas Trade Co. Ltd. d.o.o., Leader Express d.o.o., HP-Hrvatska pošta.d.d. and In time d.o.o.. In addition to postal service providers, the round table was traditionally attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences and the Croatian Standards Institute (HZN).

The round table was opened by Mr. Darko Josipović, Deputy Chair of the Council at HAKOM, and the head of the postal services sector Mrs. Iva Dvornik.

The round table is always an opportunity to exchange information on market developments, and this time the event covered four topics for which preliminary presentations were prepared by the postal services sector experts. The first topic was the review of the situation and trends in the postal services market of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union. Another topic was the evaluation of the postal regulatory framework. Changes in customs mediation between postal service providers and procedures as of 1 July 2021 were the third topic of the round table. The final lecture on the topic of “Sustainable Development of Postal services providers” was held by prof. dr. sc. Zvonko Kavran from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in Zagreb. After the presentation, the participants of the round table exchanged their experiences and their views on the topics of the meeting in the open discussion.

Finally, all the participants were greeted by, Miran Gosta, Executive Director at HAKOM.
