HAKOM selects new ideas for application development

The public and companies responded to the public tender for the submission of conceptual designs for software applications and services by providing a total of 54 ideas, 19 of which will be implemented through public tenders, following the development of the technical documentation.
The selected ideas will be implemented through public tenders, by which conditions for the launch of tenders will be created, i.e. once the necessary tender and technical documentation for each application is prepared. Public tenders will be launched in January next year.

ZAGREB, 18 December 2013 – The Croatian Post and Electronic Communications Agency (HAKOM) has adopted the decision on the selection of 19 conceptual designs for software applications and services to provide incentives to and harmonise the development of broadband in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and islands. The ideas selected among 54 of them had to, among other, meet the criteria of assisting the development of the economy and the quality of life in the Republic of Croatia, i.e. the development of education, health care, agriculture, public security and “e-Administration” services. The majority of ideas have been selected in the area of security and health care, but other areas are also represented. The companies and the public whose ideas have been selected, which at the same time are not the target user, will receive a HRK 5,000-worth reward under the conditions of the public call.
