High Misdemeanour Court of the Republic of Croatia confirms first instance judgment in regulatory obligations infringement case

NEWS

ZAGREB, 17 April 2014 – HAKOM received a judgment of the High Misdemeanour Court of the Republic of Croatia, confirming the fine to Hrvatski Telekom d.d. and its responsible person totalling HRK 2,020,000.00 for the infringement of prescribed regulatory obligations referred to in Article 118 (1) and (2) of the Electronic Communications Act (ECA).
This final judgment of the High Misdemeanour Court confirmed the first instance court’s statement of reasons that Hrvatski Telekom d.d. had acted contrary to the regulatory obligation of price control and cost accounting. The Court concluded that there was a particularly serious infringement of the CEA, i.e. the violation of regulatory obligations referred to in Article 62 of the Electronic Communications Act.
