IRG-Rail Strategy Group Meeting

This year, chaired by HAKOM, the ndependent group of railway regulatory bodies discussed on the development of the European railway sector.

ZAGREB, 9 February 2022 - Strategic Group at IRG-Rail (Independent Regulators' Group held a meeting and discussed on several issues of special importance that will be addressed in 2022.

During the meeting, among other topics, the regulators discussed the development of the European railway sector with particular emphasis on the European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS) and multimodality, as well as on the implications of the use of artificial intelligence techniques in railways.

IRG Rail is an independent regulatory network made of railway regulatory bodies from 31 European countries, including the Republic of Croatia. The main objective of the IRG-Rail is to stimulate sustainable market competition of rail services on the European Single Market. This year, HAKOM is the Chairman.
