The Tenth Annual Railway Market Monitoring Report published

The report provides an annual overview of market developments and economic conditions in the railway sector and the possibility to compare the development and competitiveness of the railway market over time.

ZAGREB, 6 April 2022 - Independent Regulators ‘Group Rail (IRG-Rail published its 10th annual railway market monitoring report. The report covers the year 2020 including data collected from 31 European countries.

This annual report is consisted of two documents; The main report which represents the overall results at the European level and the working document, providing state-specific information, as well as the data used for graphic production. Documents can be found on the following link.

The report contains an annual overview of market developments and economic conditions in the railway sector, enabling comparison of the development and competitiveness of the railway market over time. Each market monitoring report focuses on one or more topics, and this year's report focuses on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the European rail market in 2020.

Since 2013, the IRG-rail has published annual market monitoring reports prepared by the Market Monitoring Working Group.
