World Consumer Rights Day

Consumer protection experts at HAKOM held consultations in Opatija, Vrbovec, Vukovar and Vinkovci , educating the consumers  at HAKOM’s headquarter in Zagreb.

ZAGREB, March 16, 2022 - The World Consumer Rights Day has traditionally been celebrated throughout the world every March 15, since 1983. As a national regulatory authority competent for the electronic communications markets and postal and railway services, HAKOM has also been involved in marking this important day in order to inform end-users about the rights and procedures for their protection every year.

At the info desk at HAKOM’s Sky Office lobby, the end-users were provided with practical tips apart from brochures and leaflets containing useful instructions. In cooperation with the Consumer Centre and the City of Opatija, HAKOM’s experts in charge of user protection, held appropriate customer consultations in Opatija regarding the end-user protection of electronic communications services. At the same time the exhibition was held in the city culture home in Vrbovsko.

In cooperation with representatives of the Consumer Voice Association of Vukovar-Srijem County, HAKOM participated in working meetings in the Vukovar City Administration and in Vinkovci as well. The meeting topics were the End User Rights and the obligation of the operator, and a new HAKOM leaflet was presented. It can be downloaded on the following link.
