Agreements signed between national regulators of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, and Serbia

Representatives of regulatory bodies signed an agreement on border coordination of mobile/immobile communications networks

ZAGREB, 1 June 2022 - The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) hosted a multilateral coordination meeting attended by the representatives of the Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CRA), and the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services of Montenegro (EKIP) and the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL) of Serbia.

During the meeting, experiences in RF spectrum regulation were exchanged and agreements on border coordination of mobile/immobile communication networks were signed. HAKOM signed bilateral agreements with representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro's regulatory authority for the 790-862 MHz frequency band (800 MHz). Also, representatives of all four NRAs have signed a multilateral agreement relating to the 698-791 MHz frequency band (700 MHz). The aforementioned bands (700 and 800 MHz) are used by mobile communications network operators, and the signing of the agreement will enable a more harmonized use of the RF spectrum in border areas.

The signed agreements will be publicly published on the HAKOM website.
