The round table was preceded by working meetings of representatives of HAKOM with the representatives of the ports of Ploče and Šibenik, discussing the liberalization of the rail services market, the obligations of service providers and the development of the railway market through port service facilities, which are significant transport of generators for railway freight carriers. The possibility of improving the amount of cargo and the quality of transport. 

At the meeting, a joint opinion was harmonized on the activities and measures which should be taken to improve the investment environment and the implementation of new technologies. 

The Future Internet Forum meeting was held in Brussels, and the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Mario Weber, Executive Director at HAKOM. 

Within the framework of Technical Assistance and Information Exchange programme of the European Union providing  a short-term technical assistance in the area of approximation, application and enforcement of the EU legislation HAKOM's experts carried out a workshop on "BEREC Guidelines on the Implementation by National Regulators of European Net Neutrality Rules". The workshop was intended for the representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro and the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services. 

In cooperation with Association Luka under the auspices of  the City of Knin within the scope of the thematic conferences the round table was organized by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. The aim was contribution to the changes in the business climate in Croatia. 

A long and successful cooperation with the Universities of Zagreb, Split and Osijek is a part of the "Look into the Future" project. 

Prof. Antun Carić,PhD  was one of the founders of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) as a modern, independent national regulatory authority. In his memorial, HAKOM has established the annual prize named after "Antun Carić", which is being awarded to the published presented scientific or professional work within the of HAKOM’s scope of work. 

At the session of the Parliamentary Committee, the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Dražen Lučić, President of the Council at HAKOM. 

"International Girls in ICT Day" is celebrated on April 28." As the project holder in the Republic of Croatia, HAKOM organized a round table in order to discuss the importance of education and promotion in the field of information and communication technology  starting from an early age through the education system and through additional extra-curricular activities aimed to encourage many girls to direct their profession in the area of information - communication technologies 

HAKOM's experts participated at the international conference held on the Isand of Brač. Three presentations were held on the first day of the conference. 

HAKOM has put into operation  HAKOMetar Plus, a free mobile application for measuring the speed and other parameters of broadband Internet access in mobile / wireless networks. In 2012, after putting into operation HAKOMETER for fixed network measurements in 2012 HAKOMetar Plus is second HAKOM’s application that provides the end-users to check the parameters of the  Internet access. 

The topic of the meeting was the work report on document related to the quality of broadband Internet access and the review  of  implementation cases  of the TSM Regulation and its possible violation  within the  EU Member States. 

Brussels hosted the meeting of the Working Group on International Roaming / Mobile  on the  issues of the radio frequency spectrum and coverage of mobile communications networks. 

Aside from 4 parallel sessions at the conference the central event was Round table entitled “ICT yesterday, today and tomorrow: Were we more progressive 25 years ago? ˝. Dražen Lučić President of the Council at HAKOM talked about the importance of infrastructure development, as a necessary precondition for high speed broadband and Marko Čavlović, Assistant Director at HAKOM was the moderator of the session regarding digitization and digital economy. 

At the plenary session which was held in Chisinau, HAKOM has formally received the consultative status of the organization whose members are the regulators of the countries united in the programme from the Member States. The day before the plenary session a workshop was held on the development of broadband Internet access where HAKOM presented its activities 

Brussels hosted the meeting of RA EWG working group operating within the scope of the European Regulatory Authorities for Electronic Communications BEREC.

The most important topics were those related to the rail freight corridors, network report, the process of making the timetable and the international coordination system of the requests for train routes.
